My Poetry

11/19/10     It's A Love/Hate Sort of Thing

Friday night I want to love you til the sun comes up, kiss you, then continue loving you til I die.

Monday morning I imagine you walking down the street little droplets of water begin to fall. You stop, look up toward the sky then...(BAM!!)...lightning strikes you dead.

I then spend the rest of the week getting over it.

9/24/10     Endless

She sits atop her lonely hill
Watching the time tick by
Waiting for the sun to go down
But it never does
Spin, spin little world
She screams to the sky
Turn my day into night
I need to dream up an alibi
For I have not sat here this whole time
The Earth sits still
The arms on the clock spin round and round
But the sun shines on
Day one, day two, day three and four
But the moon will not come out
A solemn heart in the presence of this radiant sun
It cries for the moons embrace
To finally leave this endless day behind

9/23/10     My Light

You are the brightest star in my darkest night and for that I'll love you till the end.

9/21/10     My Rainy Day

A life without drama is an oddity.
A thousand hellos and a million goodbyes.
The rain keeps falling.
The snow will come soon.
A wonder all around me.
I thought of you today and yesterday.
I breathe in the day and think of you again.
I walk out into the rain, close my eyes and hope my sins away.

9/17/10     Leading

Awoken in a world of nonexistence.
The follower begins to lead.
This moment when you seem to be at your lowest can be the very moment that makes you the strongest person you need to be.

If they asked me to agree to an arrangement such as that, I don't think I could. Although our situations are rather different you see. If they asked me to step down, if they banned me from their world, I would have no problem adjusting to a much lesser one. All she has ever known or better yet what she was brought up to think is that status is of the up most importance. The higher up you are in society the better off you'll be. It's the only world she's ever known. I on the other hand am grown from the ground up. I have been grown on the ground, up rooted, and placed in a pretty little pot high above that ground. If I were to be depotted and rooted back into the ground, it would simply mean, to me, that I was going back home. And you know there is one thing people in high society often forget. If it were not for this ground they could not exist in their pretty little pots.
